MUSIC: All music (brass) is available now for brass. Make sure you know what part you are playing before you print out your parts. we have an *error in the coordination of the written music for Ballet in Brass. In order to correct it, we have uploaded new parts with the 4 section cuts included. These parts will now match the MP3 audio file.

*FYI, these were the cuts removed from the written Ballet in Brass parts. Also, solos are now in Trumpet 1 part, mellophone 3, and euphonium are no longer scored. The cuts made were:

  1. All of section C
  2. G7 and G8
  3. I1-I7
  4. Before I8 - Add 4 counts for a percussion fill

To access all music, click here. The existing msarp.com domain will take you to our new location inside the MSAA website, but this domain will eventually fade away and all access going forward will be using the MSARP INFO link on the MSAA website. Make sure you have coordinated the part you will be playing on each number with each section's manager:

  • Trumpets-Shaun Owens
  • Mellophones-Craig Mason
  • Baritones-Don Navis
  • Tubas-N/A
  • Percussion-all details will be handled by Jim Yakas

You can review the entire roster right here.

We will be using silver Bb instruments. If you cannot locate one on your own, let us know so we can arrange to get you one.

As always, performance excellence is the result of individual preparation and sharing the entire experience with your fellow performers. This should be a wonderful experience. I'm looking forward to sharing it with you. If you have any questions, feel free to call me at (608)842-0217.
