Madison Scouts Alumni,

The corps is in great shape, as the production is on the field, choreographic layers are being added, and deep cleaning has ensued. The membership and staff have been working hard, and are eager to get the show on the road. We'll depart on June 25 for East Troy, Wisconsin, where we'll be parked until a short trip to Cedarburg for our annual Fourth of July celebration hosted by the Olsen family and Piggly Wiggly. Here are the upcoming rehearsal locations --

David LofyDavid LofyI'm writing to you from the beautiful University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire campus, where the corps is wrapping up Spring Training. The corps will perform their preview show tonight (June 24) for the Eau Claire community, alumni, and families.

It's finally happening! The Tournament of Rose Parade Project website is officially accepting participant registrations. Due to the expected large number of participants and the scope of everything necessary to make this project work, we are opening up the area for people to "sign up" or Join and make their initial deposit to be a part of something unique. A help area link is at the bottom of the web page for common questions you might have already. If you have unanswered questions, please use the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. link at the bottom of the web page. It's important to ask us if you have a question so that we can add it to that area for others who also may have the same question. All future correspondence with registered participants will go through the MadisonCorps.org website.

When you join, you will automatically be added to the project general member-staff email list and a section-choice-specific email list. So when music or other performance-related content is available, you will automatically access it, and we can communicate as a whole body or specific section. Also, you will automatically be added to the official roster list, which everyone can see.

Thanks for recognizing an extraordinary opportunity and being a part of it. Let's make some history together!

lemonsqueezemsaashirt 1024x10242xThe iconic Lemon Squeeze shirt first came out for the 1990 Madison Scouts show, "Undiscovered Madison," when the corps played "The Lemon Squeeze" by Mark Kirk. The swing tune was the corps' opener, starting laid-back and casual but quickly escalating into a frenzy of notes and fast drill that brought the classic Madison energy. Take a look here! The Lemon Squeeze shirt has since gained a cult following among Madison Scouts alumni, fans, and instructors...

And we're bringing it back!

We're excited to help fans of the classic Madison shirt retire their well-worn version in favor of a less threadbare one that has fewer holes. This limited time sale will only last for the 2024 Drum Corps season, so don't miss your chance. Order yours today!

The 2024 Class of the Madison Scouts Hall of Fame will be recognized and toasted during ceremonies at the 2024 Madison Scouts Hall of Fame Drums on Parade Tailgate hosted by MSAA. Kent Eversmeyer, MSAA Hall of Fame Committee Chairman says, "It is fitting to honor our inductees and their servant leadership to the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps by having 100% of the proceeds from the MSAA-hosted Tailgate go to the C.H. Beebe Scholarship fund that directly supports life changing opportunities and experiences to the current members of our beloved drum corps".

Be part of something bigger than all of us by enjoying great food, beverages and friendships at the Tailgate with a special "in-your-face" performance by the 2024 Madison Scouts, followed by singing "Never Walk" and then a "Meet and Greet" with the 2024 Madison Scouts, where alumni will have the opportunity to sign a Member's Aussie with your name, section and years marched in the corps. It's an incredible way to connect with the current corps and "Toast" our Madison Scouts Hall of Fame inductees.

Yes! The Madison Scouts are wearing Aussies in 2024!!

Well, it’s just about here. Drums On Parade weekend. The biggest Alumni and Scouts gathering of the year! It's not too late to sponsor a Keg , please consider Sponsoring a Keg of beer for the tailgate. For a donation of $200, which can turn into almost $500 for the CH Beebe Scholarship fund.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • Madison Scouts Hall of Fame
  • Capitolaires and the Breakfast Club to be recognized with some history and memorabilia
  • Feeding the corps, pouring beer for the Alumni, family, and friends 2024 Madison Scouts to play a tune or 2 and will sing Never Walk with the Alumni.

The 2024 season is here! We have an exciting year of events that we want you as Alumni to be a part of! We have lots in store and would love to have your participation to help us grow our great organization and Support our Madison Scouts.
