Greetings, Madison Scouts!
I spent the last two weekends in Dayton for Color Guard and Percussion WGI Championships, and I am truly inspired by the quality of performance and production that Madison Scouts staff and members are achieving in that space. Congratulations to all involved! -- I've included some pictures from the events.

The current corps is rapidly approaching its April rehearsal weekend (28th-30th) in Milton and Whitewater, WI. We have a few color guard positions to firm up, but outside of that, we have our roster ready to roll. -- The education staff has been fantastic in their virtual engagement of the membership since the last camp, and we have great momentum as we head into a full day of rehearsal at UW-Whitewater on Saturday. A few months ago, Jason Robb, Nick Monzi, and I sat around a table wondering if we could put drill on the field at April Camp. Fast forward to today, and it's about to happen!
While our visual staff is largely the same as last year, we have changed the caption's leadership as Sierra Rogers was promoted to Visual Caption Head early this offseason. As you can imagine, the visual team is thrilled to get field time in Perkins Stadium. Not only do we have the opportunity to push ahead with drill learning, but more importantly, our visual educators will get to implement their process and approach for the 2023 season.
Here's a recent article by DCI about Sierra: https://www.dci.org/news/scouts-rogers-reflects-on-growth-from-longtime-performer-to-educational-leader
In other news, the show is complete, and we anticipate the announcement will roll out soon. Keep an eye on social media.
