Rockin4ALS and The ALS Association – Wisconsin are pleased to announce the John and Susan Burmeister ALS Volunteer Memorial Fund. John Burmeister was a well-known Madison Scouts Alum and Corps supporter. He and his wife, Susan, joined the Rockin4ALS volunteer family in 2017.

We lost John to cancer last year, and he is missed dearly, but his passion for ALS patients continues to live on, driven by the efforts of his Madison Scouts Brothers, who raised more than $5,000 to launch this memorial fund.

John & Susan began supporting ALS patients in 2017 at the annual Rockin' For A Cure ALS benefit. During the benefit, they joined with other Alumni of the Madison Scouts in honoring three ALS victims who were former members of the Madison Scouts. John and Susan went on to volunteer at several Rockin4ALS and ALS Association events.

Since 2010, Rockin4ALS has enjoyed a close bond with The ALS Association– Wisconsin, so the opportunity to create a fund in partnership with them was fitting. The home for the memorial fund is on The ALS Association – Wisconsin website.

Please consider supporting the launch of the John and Susan Burmeister ALS Volunteer Memorial Fund and join us in supporting ALS patients at this year’s Rockin' For A Cure on April 29th.
