Madison Scouts Alumni Association
Never walking alone since 1938
The MSAA has recently completed our yearly elections, resulting in six new members joining the board of directors. New leaders always bring fresh perspectives, eager voices, and enthusiastic ideas; we’re very excited to see how 2026 will be shaped with these new members.
Exciting news!
It is hard to believe, but it's been 20 years since the Madison Scouts Alumni Reunion Project took place. We would be remiss if we didn't take advantage of this opportunity to celebrate the spectacular accomplishments of two decades ago. It's also a perfect occasion to catch up with old friends who shared this once-in-a-lifetime experience with you.
Although the focus for this gathering is on the Madison Scouts Alumni Reunion Project, all alumni, family members, and friends of the Madison Scouts are cordially invited to attend.
The vehicle for this event will be a banquet featuring a great meal, a nostalgic audiovisual presentation, and plenty of time to interact and enjoy others who share a common bond. The date is Saturday, July 25, 2026, and the location is the Doubletree Hilton Madison East Hotel. We will send details on the ticket ordering schedule and room reservations in early April.
We look forward to future communications with you and to sharing what promises to be a memorable evening.
May You Never Walk Alone,
Scott Stewart, Scott Pearson, Randy Ferrie.

This production was inspired and produced by Joe Murray, Madison Scouts Alumnus (1972-1976). He interviews a surviving member of that group via Zoom video, Michael "Monk" Madigan, Madison Scouts Alumnus (1963-1970). Four percussion members were sharing the stage and ultimately earned the first-place medal for best quartet: Mike Riccio and Bob Van Etten, Jr. on snare drum, Mike Madigan on tenor drum, and Jack Ledford on bass drum.
Congratulations,
ladies and gentlemen! You have just completed the journey of a lifetime with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps. As the final note fades on your incredible age-out performance, you stand on the brink of a new, enduring chapter - one that welcomes you into the Madison Scouts Alumni Association (MSAA).
This is more than just a group; it’s your lifelong link to the Madison Scouts legacy. The MSAA is the bridge connecting you, the newest class of alumni, to 78+ years of fraternity who have marched before you. We are here to extend the spirit of fun, camaraderie, and support that defined your time in the corps and to ensure that powerful connection endures.
