Wrapping Up the Season
The 2026 DCI season has ended! What a great year for the Madison Scouts and drum corps as a whole! I think that “MadiSpin” is one of my favorite Scouts shows of all time, and it was definitely an audience favorite too!
As we reflect on the season, I want to give you a short reminder of what MSAA accomplished so far this year…
- Inducted 6 people to the Madison Scouts Hall of Fame
- Ran multiple successful fundraisers before and during the season
- Organized alumni gatherings at locations on the Madison Scouts’ tour
- Produced a Legacy Shirt, and gave a shirt to each member of the corps
- Held a Madison Scouts Trivia Night, in conjunction with the Marching Pageantry Arts Museum
- Welcomed 31 new ageouts to the MSAA
Plus, we have more planned for the off-season as well! The MSAA has continued to outdo itself year after year, and I can’t wait to see what will come in 2027.

If you are also looking for a way to support the corps and make a difference, please join us! Alumni are always welcome to attend our monthly meetings, and we always appreciate new volunteers. All of the MSAA’s events, fundraisers, sponsorships, and donations go to supporting the C.H. Beebe Scholarship Fund. Our mission is to expand tuition assistance for Madison Scouts members, ensuring that financial barriers don’t prevent talented young performers from joining the corps.

Madison Scouts Hall of Fame: Class of 2026
Forged from humble beginnings in 1920, the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps has established itself as a premier youth performing arts organization on the modern drum and bugle corps scene. Established in 2022, the corps’ Hall of Fame honors the outstanding achievements of instructors, designers, administrators, performers, and volunteers who have impacted the Madison Scouts in monumental ways throughout its long history.
The 2026 Hall of Fame Class highlights the spirit, talent, and service that has carried the Madison Scouts forward for over a century. This year’s honorees are:
- Robert Fleury: 1940s Musical Director that championed a radical shift toward true musicianship and a music education program.
- Mike “Monk” Madigan: The architect of a new era for the Scouts’ drumline from 1972-1975, instilling a culture of rhythmic clarity, uniform technique, and aggressive musicality.
- Steve Vickers: Long-time board member of the Madison Scouts, logistical lead for the 1988 European Tour, and publisher of “Drum Corps World.”
- Randy “The King” Ferrie: Visionary founder of the Madison Scouts Alumni Reunion Project in 2006 and founding board member of the Madison Scouts Alumni Association in 2018.
- Chad Duggan: Designer and choreographer for over 3 decades that defined the visual identity of the modern Madison Scouts while embracing the nuance of contemporary visual design.
- Mike Loeffelholz: Visual Instructor and Drill Writer of the 80s and 90s that built the Scouts’ programs into a visual juggernaut of high-velocity, high-impact drill.
Together, these inductees represent the passion and leadership that define the Madison Scouts. Their legacies will continue to inspire future generations of performers, volunteers, and fans.
The recognition award for the Madison Scouts Hall of Fame is a recreation of a sculpture called “The Ideal Scout,” awarded to C.H. Beebe in the 1950s. The Ideal Scout sculpture is also depicted in the hall logo.
