Madison Scouts Alumni,

Reflecting on Summer 2026: Another season of drum corps is complete, and we're already deep in the weeds preparing for 2027. If you didn't get a chance to see the corps this Summer, we have the link near the end of this article.

Speaking for the corps administration and staff, we're incredibly proud of the Membership's performance and the response they elicited from audiences around the country. It's safe to say that MadiSpin is a show Madison Scouts fans will treasure for years to come.

davidIn addition to the drum corps' successes, Forward Performing Arts was proud to present three clinic experiences for high school band students in Wisconsin this Summer. This year, the Madison Scouts Summer Camp experience introduced guest clinicians from partner University marching bands.

  • Hammond, WI - 30 participants w/guest Dr. Kara Metzger, UW-Eau Claire
  • Whitewater, WI - 57 w/guest Dr. Glenn Hayes, UW-Whitewater
  • Madison, WI - 16 w/guest Dr. Corey Pompey, UW-Madison

Total Impact - 103 students

Thank You

One final and big THANK YOU to the many Madison Scouts Alumni who demonstrated their support of the corps by attending an event, cheering us on from home, teaching/designing/administering on staff, volunteering, and/or donating. We're deeply grateful for your support and eager to begin our 89th year with you all.

As promised, here is the YouTube link to see the corps show.

2027

If you know a talented performer who should 'Be a Scout', encourage them to begin their journey by submitting the Interest Form. Our greatest recruiters are our current members, Alumni, and band directors. Veteran retention is already looking strong. Help us fill the ranks with the best of the best.

You'll Never Walk Alone,
~ David
