After overwhelming positive responses sent to us, we have decided to reapply for the 2027 Rose Parade.

Moving forward:
1. You do not need to do anything if you have registered and paid your deposit on our website.
2. If you have not registered and paid your deposit, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible. This includes the few of you who received refunds from us. You will need to reapply/register/pay.
3. Please encourage other alumni from any of the Madison-based corps to register and make a deposit (Madison Scouts, Capitolaires, Jr Scouts, Petites, Capitol Sound, 32nd Hussar, Southwind). Members of the 2027 Madison Scouts will also be involved.
4. Check our website on occasion for updated information.
5. Contact us with any questions or concerns.

For the past few years we’ve let alumni vote on a Legacy Shirt to be brought back for one year only. Last year we reproduced the iconic Lemon Squeeze! This year, we’re taking our Legacy Shirt fundraiser to the next step! 

This year, you design it!

Come up with some great artwork for a shirt, give it a name, and tell us why you think it should be the winner. We’ll choose a winner and it will become THE Legacy Shirt for the 2025 Madison Scouts. Your design could be worn by hundreds of Madison Scouts alumni, fans, family, and members.

Beebe Scholarship Fund, you can help ensure that financial barriers never stand in the way of someone’s dream to march with the Madison Scouts.

The C.H. Beebe Scholarship Fund is available to members of the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps through a needs-based application process. With your generous donation, you can empower passionate young performers to pursue their calling and step onto the field without the burden of financial constraints.

The 2024 season has ended, and the 2025 season groundwork is underway. This past season went by way too fast. We have had an exciting year of events that many Alumni participated in! Our Scouts had a fantastic year, fighting back into the top 12. Please help support the corps and keep this incredible momentum going forward! Legacy Shirts
For the last few years we've let you vote on which legacy shirt we should bring back. This year YOU design the shirt! Show us what shirt you think we should produce, and we'll pick the best one! Submit a reproduction of an old shirt, or make a completely new design. It's all up to you. Submit a Design

The Rose Committee's decision

As almost everyone now knows, the Rose Parade Committee did not select us for the 2026 parade. The choice came down to a tie between our group and a Wisconsin High School. Since it was evenly split, the acting chairperson cast the tie-breaking vote for the band.

We spoke directly with one of the committee board members who had voted for us and recommended that we apply again for the 2027 event. It is noted that one of the people who voted for us in the split decision will be next year's chairperson. From a historical perspective, we have discovered that very few organizations are selected on their first try, and we've talked with a few who have tried for many years and are still waiting for their chance.

After positioning itself in 12th place midway through the season, the Wisconsin corps never relented, and rode the momentum of an energetic production to the corps’ first Finals appearance since 2017.

“This is my home,” Madison Scouts Paige Shumney said, after Madison Scouts’ Friday night performance at the DCI World Championship Semifinals. “The thought of making Finals is beautiful.”

MSAA is busy preparing to welcome the 2024 Madison Scout Age-outs in the ranks of our active and growing members!

Following the Madison Scouts Semi-Finals performance at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Friday, 9 August 2024, representatives from MSAA will meet with the 2024 Madison Scouts Age Outs in the parking lot and present them each with a custom MSAA Neckerchief and a handmade, red-white-and-blue “woggle” (neckerchief slide), crafted by MSAA Member, Brad Mills (Madison Scouts 2015, 2017).

The special design of the MSAA neckerchiefs and woggle is intended to honor the Madison Scouts' origin as a Boy Scout Troop. Each 2024 Madison Scout will proudly wear their neckerchief during the 2024 DCI Age-Out Ceremony following the conclusion of the Semi-Final competition.

The Madison Scouts, Forward Performing Arts, and the Madison Scouts Alumni Association (MSAA) inducted the 2024 Class to the Madison Scouts Hall of Fame as part of the MSAA Drums on Parade Tailgate, including Tom Acheson, Jeanne Beckman, Calvin Harris, Bruce Lages, Jim McCarthy, Michael Turner, and Stan Stitgen. The induction ceremony was part of the Scout's home show, “Drums on Parade,” held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Middleton High School in Middleton, Wisconsin. The MSAA MSHOF Tailgate ceremony was anchored at the beginning by the 2024 Madison Scouts performing the opening hit from Slaughter on 10th Avenue from an arc pointed at the alumni, family, and friends gathered in and around the MSAA Tailgate Pavilion.

Each of the 2024 MSHOF Inductees was honored with a summary of their tenure and respective servant leadership contributions to the Madison Scouts. Heartfelt acknowledgments of gratitude were also extended to the family members of those inductees who have gone before us.

2024 is coming to a close way too fast! We have had an exciting year of events that many Alumni participated in! There are less than two weeks left in this amazing season, and our Scouts have been amazing. Please help support the corps in keeping this amazing momentum going forward! Participation is key in helping us grow our great organization and support our Madison Scouts.
