Madison Scouts Alumni Association
Never walking alone since 1938
Nominations for the 2026 Class of the Madison Scouts Hall of Fame (MSHOF) will open on November 1st, 2025 and close on December 31st, 2025.
The mission of the Madison Scouts Hall of Fame (MSHOF) is to recognize and honor the outstanding achievements of marching members, staff, and volunteers who have exhibited commitment over time and made significant contributions to The Madison Scouts.
This production was inspired and produced by Joe Murray, Madison Scouts Alumnus (1972-1976). He interviews a surviving member of that group via Zoom video, Michael "Monk" Madigan, Madison Scouts Alumnus (1963-1970). Four percussion members were sharing the stage and ultimately earned the first-place medal for best quartet: Mike Riccio and Bob Van Etten, Jr. on snare drum, Mike Madigan on tenor drum, and Jack Ledford on bass drum.
Congratulations,
ladies and gentlemen! You have just completed the journey of a lifetime with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps. As the final note fades on your incredible age-out performance, you stand on the brink of a new, enduring chapter - one that welcomes you into the Madison Scouts Alumni Association (MSAA).
This is more than just a group; it’s your lifelong link to the Madison Scouts legacy. The MSAA is the bridge connecting you, the newest class of alumni, to 78+ years of fraternity who have marched before you. We are here to extend the spirit of fun, camaraderie, and support that defined your time in the corps and to ensure that powerful connection endures.
Hello Madison Corps Alumni members and other interested alumni,
First, we would like to acknowledge that almost all of the registered Rose Parade members who responded to our last email are sticking with us, which makes us excited to move forward with our future event exploration. We have gathered five unique opportunities that we would like to gauge your interest in participating in, starting in 2027, with a first international performance opportunity potentially taking place in Ireland in 2028. The survey is open until December 31, 2025.
Note: We may even do more than one event, so please select all ideas that interest you.
Below are the five ideas for future projects, along with their corresponding links for you to conduct a more in-depth review:
The Madison Scouts, Forward Performing Arts, and the Madison Scouts Alumni Association (MSAA) inducted the 2025 Class to the Madison Scouts Hall of Fame as part of the MSAA Drums on Parade Tailgate, including recognition of long-serving volunteers Barb Loeffelholz, Patty Omilianowski, Henry Barney, Ollie Mae Banks, E.B. Matthews, Christopher (Metzger) Forbes, and Doug Tholo. The induction ceremony was part of the Scouts' home show, “Drums on Parade,” and was held on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Middleton High School in Middleton. The MSAA MSHOF Tailgate ceremony was anchored at the beginning by the 2024 Madison Scouts performing the opening hit from Malaguena, followed by an excerpt from the 1999 and 2016 production of Jesus Christ Superstar, from an arc pointed at the alumni, family, and friends gathered in and around the MSAA Tailgate at Fireman’s Park Pavilion.
As the 2025 Madison Scouts season winds down to its conclusion, we would like to take a moment to congratulate and welcome the newest class of alumni to MSAA.
As you close this chapter of your drum corps journey, a new one begins. The Madison Scouts Alumni Association (MSAA) is excited to welcome you, the 30 newest members, to a community that stretches back generations. The MSAA provides opportunities for you to stay connected to the corps and the people who shared this unique experience with you.
Your dedication, talent, and hard work have left an indelible mark on the Madison Scouts' legacy. Now, you have the chance to help shape its future. The MSAA is a vital part of supporting the current corps, and we invite you to be a part of that mission.
We can't wait to see what you do next and look forward to staying connected.
