July was an active month for alumni participation in performances at the Cedarburg Parade and both Madison Scouts DCI shows. We also held a reunion recognizing the 20th anniversary of the MSARP performance in 2006. The release of a new future performance in Ireland was also announced at the beginning of the Drums on Parade weekend.
Craig MasonOn July 4, Scout alumni joined the current corps to perform in the Cedarburg parade. Members rehearsed, performed, and then joined the annual Piggly Wiggly picnic. This was the kickoff year of what will become an annual event. Special thanks to Dr. Glenn Hayes and Tobie Wilkinson of UW Whitewater for loaning battery and brass equipment. Keep your eyes out for registration information next spring for July 4, 2027!- Alumni from the Scouts, Capitolaires, Blue Devils, Velvet Knights, Cavaliers, Santa Clara Vanguard, Blue Rock, Kilties, Spartans, 32nd Hussar, and Blue Stars joined forces to perform the National Anthem at the Whitewater Classic and Drums On Parade.
