Chair Article July 2026 - The summer is in full swing!
If you missed it, the Madison Scouts debuted their 2026 program, “MadiSpin” at the historic Breese Stevens Field. The production features music from Pat Metheny, Shubh Saran, Michel Legrand, and Joachim Horsely & Camille Saint-Saëns. The show has callbacks to many classic Madison moments, motifs, and drill moves that are sure to make alumni cheer! I think Rumbacabre could even become a NEW staple for the Scouts.
Now that the DCI season has begun, there are new pictures, clips, discussions, stories, and fundraisers happening almost every day! If you aren’t in the MSAA Facebook Group or following us on Instagram, you’re missing out! Be sure to connect with us so you don’t miss anything the MSAA is doing this summer.

We are proud to induct six new members into the Madison Scouts Hall of Fame! The class of 2026 includes Chad Duggan, Randy Ferrie, Robert M. “Bob” Fleury, Mike Loeffelholz, Mike “Monk” Madigan, and Steve Vickers. The induction ceremony will be held at Drums on Parade on July 24th. Read more about the Hall of Fame inductees here.
Brisket Dinner at San Antonio
We’re excited to host the Texas Brisket Dinner for the 5th year in a row! Alumni are invited to join us on Friday, July 17th, in Lockhart Texas for a huge BBQ dinner and to help fuel the corps up before the San Antonio regional. The corps members love getting a meal provided by the alumni, but it’s not cheap! Please consider sponsoring a brisket to help make this possible. We truly appreciate your support! Your contribution will directly help provide this one-of-a-kind Texas meal and deliver a tremendous boost of morale as the corps prepares to perform in one of the biggest shows of the season. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS - THIS MEANS YOU
Are you going to the Whitewater Classic on July 11th or Drums on Parade on July 24th? We need volunteers to help with the concession stands and the 50/50 raffle at both events! This is a really easy way to support the Madison Scouts. Both of these shows are important fundraisers for the corps, and the more alumni we can have helping, the better. Legacy Shirts-Coming Soon
The 2026 Legacy Shirt is coming VERY soon! I think this one is going to be a favorite. The shirt will be available until the end of the season, and proceeds from shirt sales will go toward gifting one to every member of the 2026 Madison Scouts. Check back soon for more info.
MSAA Schedule Reminder
Here are the important dates for you to know about the 2026 DCI season from the MSAA:
- July 4 – Cedarburg Parade Join the corps in the 4th of July parade.
- July 11th – Whitewater Classic Help volunteer with the show, at concessions, or the raffle!
- July 17th – San Antonio Regional We’re feeding the corps a BBQ meal! Support us by purchasing a meal ticket or by sponsoring a brisket.
- July 24th – Drums on Parade Join us at the stadium from 3-5 for an alumni get-together and the Hall of Fame Ceremony. We also need volunteers at the show to help with concessions and the raffle!
- August 7th – DCI Semi-Finals Join us for the end-of-season family event and the ageout ceremony.
Whether you’re able to join us at a tailgate, volunteer at concessions stand, support our fundraisers, or pick up some Madison Scouts merch, you’re helping keep the corps moving “Forward!” We hope to see you this summer! YNWA.
