Kent Eversmeyer and Dave Woolpert of the Madison Scouts All-Star Brass Ensemble Mellophone section got to catch up in Huntsville, Alabama, at the 2023 NABBA Championships ahead of their performance at Rockin’ for a Cure in Madison, Wisconsin. Dave competed in the Madison Brass Band from Madison, WI, and Kent in the Brass Band of Huntsville.
MSAA members Kent Eversmeyer, Scott Thompson, Bryan Hughes, and Austin Eversmeyer enjoyed the North American Brass Band Association (NABBA) Championships in the Von Braun Center in downtown Huntsville, Alabama, on 21-22 April 2023.
Kent played Solo Tenor Horn, and Austin played Cornet with the Brass Band of Huntsville, who hosted the 37 brass band event in Rocket City.
The power and precision of British-style brass bands have often been compared to the drum corps repertoire and performance.
