Are you looking for a neat opportunity to march with other drum corps alumni?
Next summer, on Saturday, July 4, 2026, the United States Semiquincentennial (also known as the Sestercentennial or Quarter Millennial) will mark the 250th anniversary of the 1776 United States Declaration of Independence (formally "The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen United States of America"). Festivities will be scheduled in Philadelphia to mark various events leading up to the anniversary on July 4, 2026. We aim to showcase the drum and bugle corps activity for this historic celebration, as they have played an integral role throughout our nation's history. What better way to celebrate our nation's birthday than to be in Philadelphia for the Welcome America festivities?
We want as many former drum corps members as possible to participate. This proves to be a once-in-a-lifetime event. All eyes will be on Philadelphia for the Sestercentennial. Major League Baseball has already committed to having Philadelphia host the 2026 All-Star Game!
Our objective is to march in the parade on July 3rd, 2026, as well as participate in other performances. It will truly be an honor to represent the drum corps you marched with as a tribute to our great country. The Great American Drum and Bugle Corps operates as a 501(c)(3).
