Christopher (Metzger) Forbes is a highly respected figure in the drum corps world, particularly known for his time as a soprano soloist with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps. He is widely recognized for his exceptional talent and is considered one of the "gods of Madison soloists."

- Madison Scouts Member: Chris (Metzger) Forbes marched with the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps from 1971 to 1977. This was a significant period for the corps, and he played a prominent role in their brass line. Chris then served on the brass staff and arranged for the Madison Scouts, including the classics “Numero Uno” and “Strawberry Soup”.
- Legendary Soloist: He is particularly famous for his iconic soprano solos, most notably "God Bless the Child" (from 1974), and “Rhapsody in Blue” and his performances of "MacArthur Park” and the classic “The Way We Were.” These solos are still remembered and celebrated by drum corps enthusiasts for their emotional impact and his remarkable range.
- Bugler's Hall of Fame: His incredible contributions to the activity were recognized with his induction into the Bugler's Hall of Fame in 2012.
- Alumni Involvement: Chris (Metzger) Forbes remains actively involved with the Madison Scouts alumni community. He has performed in the 2006 Madison Scouts Alumni Reunion Project (MSARP) and with the Madison Scout Alumni All-Stars, as well as other alumni ensembles, such as the Jim Ott Brass Ensemble Third Coast, at various events, including "Rockin' For A Cure" ALS benefits.
